EMERGENCY CLOSING

As a general practice, the Whitefish Bay Public Library does not close during regular business hours unless the health, safety, and security of Library personnel and patrons are seriously brought into question. The Library Director (or Librarian on Duty), after consultation with a member of the Library Board and Village Manager if available, will make the decision to close and initiate closing procedures.

Official Announcements

Library staff will contact any special guests or sponsors of scheduled programs to alert them of the decision to close.

In the event that an unexpected closing occurs, Library staff will assist children in contacting their parents and will deliver them, if necessary, to the Police Department to wait for a ride.
