EXHIBIT AND DISPLAY SPACES

The Whitefish Bay Public Library offers several public display spaces, including the bulletin board in the vestibule, the slots in the lobby and the free shelves near the periodical area.  These spaces are available for community members to post announcements and information about events of interest to the WFB community.  Preference will be given to local events and announcements.  Examples of materials that may NOT be posted in the library follow:

  1. for-profit notices (unless promoting an event to be held in the Program Room)
  2. candidate election materials
  3. materials that violate the policies of the Library Board
  4. materials that discriminate in any way because of race, creed, sex, age or handicap
  5. personal interest notices (job-seeking, lost pets, etc.)

All materials to be posted must be approved by Library staff; the Library Director has final discretion on posting materials.  All posted materials shall be marked with the date of posting and staff initials.   Library staff will remove material posted more than 30 days.

Bulk materials may only be placed in the lobby with the approval of the Library Director.  Materials not approved will be discarded.
