Our Events · Canceled- Remembering When: Fire and Fall Prevention for Older Adults
Presented by the North Shore Fire Department and the North Shore Health Department.
At age 65, older adults are twice as likely to be killed or injured by fires compared to the population at large. By age 75, that risk increases to three times that of the general population — and to four times by age 85.
This program is centered around safety messages – - developed by experts from national organizations.
During the program we'll answer:
What hit television show was set during the Korean War?
How often should you change the batteries in your smoke alarms?
What singing legend brought rock-n-roll into popular culture?
If your clothing catches fire, what should you do?
Do you want to have fun while learning how to prevent fires and falls?
