Dawn Strand, Head of Circulation Services
Hello! I just started here at the Whitefish Bay Public library this Fall 2026 after working nearly 13 years in libraries in Illinois. I've worked as a Children's Librarian, but moved into circulation about 9 years ago, which has been incredibly rewarding. I love being part of all the behind-the-scenes action and I really enjoy engaging with patrons at the busy circulation desk and making their library experience the best it can be. I encourage you to stop by and say hello! When I'm not at work you'll find me reading, knitting, running, hiking, or watching baseball. Picking my favorite author is impossible, but recently I've read wonderful books by Laurie Frankel, TJ Klune, Sarah Damoff, and Sally Hepworth.
