Sound Bath- Self-Care at the Library

This summer start or continue your journey of self-care at the library.Listening to different musical and sound frequencies can help you relax and heal. Join Bernard Runo of Adagio Sound Healing for sound therapy featuring Tibetan singing bowls, string instruments and the monochord. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow if you like. Sound bath performance from Bernard Runo & David Kotlewski of Adagio Sound Healing. Registration is required.
Bernard Runo & David Kotlewski Bio The duo of Bernard Runo and David “Mr. K” Kotlewski have been making music together as a couple for the past 14 years. Both are classically trained musicians: David on viola and violin and Bernard on violin, guitar and cello. David is a retired Milwaukee Public Schools music teacher who has also taught for the El Sistema Reach Teach Play program for Ravinia in Northern Illinois. He currently works as House Manager of the new Bradley Symphony Center for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Bernard attained his credentials as Master Sound Practitioner from the Art of Healing School of Energy Medicine in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. Bernard is a descendant of Filipino shamanic healers and is currently working towards a certification in indigenous Filipino Manual Medicine from the Kailukuan School in Walnut, California. Bernard is a graduate of Milwaukee’s East-West Healing Arts Institute where he studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and other Western healing modalities. In addition to running Adagio Sound Healing Studio in Milwaukee, both play music for their parish church, are members of the Milwaukee Community Orchestra, play local weddings and events with their string quartet.
