Outdoor Sign Policy

Mission
The Whitefish Bay Public Library (WFBPL), as a cornerstone of the community, is dedicated to connecting all peopleages, inspiring a love of learning and providing access to ideas, information and resources.

Purpose of Policy
The Whitefish Bay Public Library Outdoor Sign Policy establishes guidelines for use of outdoor signs on Library property.

Allowable Entities
The WFBPL Board of Trustees allows outdoor signage on WFBPL property only by Whitefish Bay Public Library; Friends of the Whitefish Bay Public Library; Whitefish Bay Public Library Foundation; the Village of Whitefish Bay; and other Village entities at discretion of the Library Director.

Setting-up and Removal of Signs
All signs shall be brought to the Library Director for approval and discussion of placement. Signs may be placed up to four (4) weeks before event and must be removed within forty-eight (48) hours after event. Signs not picked up in that time will be disposed of. The Library assumes no responsibility for the preservation or protection of signs.

Patrons, who wish to appeal an outdoor sign decision can do so by writing to:
