After a career as an oncology pharmacist, BJ Gruling, embarked on a new path as owner of Kilwins Milwaukee at Bayshore in 2014, along with his partner Rick Clark.

They left their careers in the scientific and medical fields to operate Kilwins. Rick, a Canadian, and BJ, an American, met working at a hospital in Saudi Arabia and returned to North America, landing in Milwaukee. 

Living in Whitefish Bay and working in Glendale, BJ and Rick enjoy taking part in, and supporting, the community.

Join us Tuesday June 20th at 6pm, to hear BJ share stories about the challenges and successes of the last few years as a small business owner in the area. Plus he’ll talk about what it means to be a certified LGBT Business Enterprise via the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
